Best time of our lives! Members of the Challenger 1 (UK) crew, James Fromage, Sophie Guymer, Alison and Fiona Simmance and Christian Butler took their experiences to new heights today by climbing the mast of Cuauhtemoc (Mexico). Whilst James went to the very top of the mast, Sophie stepped out onto the yard arm, watched by the growing throng of visitors on the quayside. A mixture of experienced and non-experienced sailors, none had previously sailed a tall ship or climbed the rigging but took to it with gusto. All were sad to be leaving the fleet soon as they are due to start university and would love to have stayed for the duration of the race. It followed an 'amazing' night at the crew party, where hundreds of crew members of a wide variety of nationalities and cultures had danced the night away together.
