Challenger 4 storming through the fleet

Challenger 4 (UK) is storming through the fleet despite having crossed the start line some hours after most of the rest of the fleet to take fourth place on the water, behind Quero Quero (Portugal) in first place, Spaniel (Latvia) in second place and Mir (Russia) in third.

In Class A on corrected time Astrid (Netherlands) (pictured) holds the lead position and is second overall.  Pelican of London (UK) is in second place and third overall and Mir lies in third place and fourth overall.

In the combined Class, B, C & D on corrected time Quero Quero leads in Class and overall.  Tecla (Netherlands) is in second place and sixth overall, with Spaniel (Latvia) in third place and seventh overall. 

Weatherwise the wind is due to increase tomorrow and the further outlook for Monday 29 September remains as the wind in the north-north-west and increasing up to 22 kts.
