Quero Quero maintains lead on the water

The Portuguese vessel Quero Quero is in the lead on the water at the 0600 report today, although is keeping a more westerly course than the rest of the fleet. Behind her is Spaniel (Latvia) and Mir (Russia) (pictured top). After a gap the rest of the fleet are keeping together closely with Endeavour (UK) and Challenger 1 (UK) in the lead.

Weatherwise the wind remains light north easterly between 8 - 11kts with showers today backing north-north-easterly tomorrow then veering north-west and increasing to 14 kts with chances of thunderstorms. The further outlook for Monday 29 September is for the wind to remain in the north-north-west and increasing up to 22 kts helping the fleet to make good progress.
