Rain cannot stop play

Crews woke up to a wet morning here in Ilhavo, but the weather will not stop the programme of events and the sports and cultural tours continue, though the beach sports have been moved to a near-by gymnasium. 

The hosts were congratulated this morning for putting on an excellent crew party yesterday evening, where hundreds of people ate and danced together until late into the night.  A truly wonderful celebration of sail training. 

Many crew changes are happening today, with new trainees arriving and some sad faces leaving, wishing they could stay for longer.

This afternoon the Captains' briefing will take place on the museum ship and preparations will start in earnest for the next leg of this regatta.
