Race Update 3: Monday 15 September

The latest report at 0600 GMT shows that on corrected time the overall race leader remains Spaniel (Latvia), with Juan de Langara (Spain) in second place and Mir (Russia) in third place.  On the water Spaniel and Endeavour (UK) are neck and neck with Steppe (Belgium), Challenger 4 (UK) and Challenger 1 (UK) close behind.

In Class A Mir remains in the lead with Sedov (Russia) up into second place and Capitan Miranda (Uruguay) in third, all on corrected time. On the water in Class A Mir leads, followed by Sedov and Capitan Miranda just slightly ahead of Pogoria (Poland). 

Spaniel remains in first position on corrected time for the combined B, C and D Class followed by Juan de Langara in second and Endeavour taking up third position.  No change there from yesterday evening.

Bringing up the rear of the fleet are Alexander von Humboldt (Germany) and Tecla (Netherlands). Astrid (Netherlands) has retired from the race.

Weather conditions are very light with a north-north-westerly at 3kts. Sea state is slight.
